We are delighted to announce that Ace Music Therapy is growing and looking for a passionate music therapist to join the team. 

Client group
The post is for two days per week (preferably Monday and Tuesday) in a special school in Northampton. The clients are children with a variety of special needs including learning disabilities, autism and additional needs.

Ace Music Therapy is a music therapy service working with a range of clients of all different ages and abilities. We currently work across Essex, Hertfordshire, Northamptonshire and London. Ace works in a range of settings including schools, college, hospices, care homes and people’s own homes.

Ace Music Therapy is expanding and looking for passionate therapists to join the team. Our vision is to transform lives through music.

Person specification
As a music therapist working for Ace Music Therapy you will work on a self-employed basis and therefore will be responsible for your own tax and national insurance contributions. The successful candidate will have the following:

  A postgraduate qualification or Masters in Music Therapy

  HCPC Registration

  BAMT Membership

  Experience working with children and young people with varying abilities

  An up-to-date DBS

  Professional indemnity insurance
The successful candidate will be positive, hard-working, enthusiastic and have a passion for music therapy. You will be able to work flexibly and independently to organise individual and group music therapy sessions. You will also be required to assess and evaluate your work, compile reports and present and feedback to parents and professionals when necessary. You will be an excellent communicator who is organised and maintains high professional standards at all times. You will also demonstrate a good knowledge of HCPC guidelines.
