Sunshine Sing and Sign

We have created this choir for parents/carers and their babies to help encourage bonding and relaxation. It will run for 10 weeks, completely free of charge, as we have been awarded funding by the Essex County Council Arts and Cultural fund. At the end of the 10 weeks we will be holding an exciting performance for all 4 of our inclusive choirs to come together, accompanied by a local band! (date and venue TBD)

Singing is one of the most powerful forms of communication and connection for you and your baby, as when you sing to them they immediately feel relaxed, soothed and loved.

We have decided to encorporate Makaton signing which is an amazing way to help develop your babies communication as it gives them a way to express themselves before their speech develops.

This choir is FREE of charge, enabling parents who are struggling with money to attend this group. New parents often face difficulties with their mental health and are in need of the support that baby bonding groups offer, but these groups can be expensive – which is why we decided to create this choir.

We want to make this a space for parents to share, have fun and connect through the amazing act of singing together!
